Breath of fresh air
Today I saw something that will keep me going in this house until about the end of October. Eric's secretary has a home that is empty and they have been trying to think of someone in this town that they would trust enough with it to rent it too. So what do they do? They decide to rent it to the first family that moves into Huntington that they don't know. Us!!! It is everything I have pretty much wanted in a home. We have agreed on a price to rent it and they have agreed to rent it to us with the option to buy if Eric gets a longer contract with Huntington after this year. (With the changes and other things he has already done in the 3 weeks he has been here, there is a REALLY good chance that they will want to keep him forever.) It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the house. A wrap around porch with ceiling fans on the porch that over looks the mountains. And a garage with a shed inside and room for my food storage and they have built onto the garage a game room and two bedrooms and a half bath. The garage is detached from the house so the rooms out there would be like a man cave or as D'Kota called it, the bat cave. Or it could be for those who wish to visit us. It has a hot tub off the deck just outside the sliding glass doors in me and Eric's bedroom and has a 3/4 fenced yard that is not all that big but is big enough for what we need. D'Kota is in heaven because he will not have to mow very much and he will have a game room where him and his friends or cousins can hang out and the best thing of all...... it has a dishwasher in the house!!! He about started to cry right there. OK, it was me that almost started to cry right there on the spot. The house has a fireplace and big huge windows and I can take my kitchen table out of storage. My things will fit in the house, as they should. Yes, Eric and I will have to buy a new bed, dang! ;) The central heat and air will help make it alright and so will the laundry room!! And the soaker tub and detached shower in the master bathroom will also help as much as they can. And sorry Jeremiah and Liberty but my couch will fit in this new house with no effort at all, I feel so bad for you too (tee hee tee hee!). OK, I just lied right there. I don't feel bad for you. But I will tell you where I bought my couch. Just not over a blog. I don't want everyone in the world knowing and then going out and buying one just like mine and then there would be no other couches made in the world and all the other couch companies would go out of business and so many people would be out of a job and the economy would get even worse and then no one could afford couches and I just could not handle having that hanging over my head, so..... go find your own. :) So some time in September we will find out if the people renting our old house in Gooding want to buy it or get out. And then we will be moving in October into the new, clean, shaped like a real home, on something that does not resemble a bad trailer park space, home that looks like a REAL cabin. I will post pictures soon. But for now, I must go to sleep. We have church a 9 in the morning. But must go into another time zone to do so, so it will really be 8 in the morning. And we all know how Angie LOVES to get up early in the morning. But just think how early we will be done with church? Will post more maybe tomorrow. I have come to love having my say. :)
