A Little Warning

Look at my cute little stove. It was brand new when we moved in here. It still had the papers taped inside the oven and did not have a plug. So I am the first one to use it. I was needless to say, VERY excited about it.
It has everything a woman like me needs. The burner thingys and two timers for when one magically disappears and my cute little bunny ears salt and pepper shakers that Eric does not like cuz he drops them too easily.

It even has the burner drop pans covered so that when me move out they will still look brand new. And because it makes it easier for me to clean them. Just wrap them up again and throw away the old ones.

But from the first day of using my new cute little stove, it did not smell very good. Now I have never had a brand new stove so I do not know what one would smell like on the first time of using it. But this smell was strangely familiar to me. Maybe a memory that I have blocked. So today as I was taking a day off from my easy job and stayed home to wait for the furnace guy and to take care of my puking 7 year old, I began to clean. I know, it calms me. At least it is suppose to. I got brave enough to get a Phillips screw driver and take out a few screws. Only to find this.

If you do not recognize this, it is mouse droppings. Something I am becoming a pro at spotting miles away. It is also the source of the smell on all the food a bake. And Eric and the boys thought it was a normal smell to my food. No sillies!!!! This is what happens when you store appliances!!! I don't care where or for how long you do it! Those EVIL little mice will do THIS! As the appliance repair guy tells me, I am lucky I did not see one of their dead little bodies right on top. I am just glad that I do not have to clean it or pay for it to be done. I LOVE RENTING!!!!!!!! I just can not bake anything until it is done. I can still use the top burners until then so things are going to be fine. I did not need a therapy session with this stove. Not like it would have helped, all that stuff is "cooked" in. I know, sorry but I could not help myself with that one. Now you all can smell it can't you? Your welcome. :} So here is your warning: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EVER STORE ANY APPLIANCE! Just sell it and get some money out of it now. It costs too much to replace the insulation later and may cost you more in your wife's sanity more than you can afford.
